THREADS OF TRADITION
Resort wear 2025 Collection
"Threads of Tradition"
Abhishek Sharma unveils his Resort wear 2025 collection — a meditative tribute to Indian craftsmanship, effortless luxury, and the quiet poetry of natural fabric.
Shot on a luxury yacht gliding across the Mumbai sea, the collection captures the spirit of coastal calm through a lens of heritage and modernity.
Rooted in raw, undyed handloom cotton and linen, the collection embraces a palette drawn from nature itself — soft, earthy, and pure. Relaxed, boxy silhouettes define the season: cut away from the body, easy in movement, and deeply comforting. The collection speaks about sustainability as at its core. There is major use of zero waste pattern, natural non-dyed fabric like linen, Handlooms cotton, mulmul and Urben styling in the collection. Cropped jackets are paired with high-waisted, loose trousers; shirts feature abstract Kantha embroidery that dances across the fabric like waves on water.
For women, the collection offers delicate bustiers hand-embroidered with Kantha motifs, and short dresses adorned with story-rich threadwork - each piece a tactile blend of heritage and subtle sensuality.
At the heart of this collection is a unique fusion of Kantha embroidery from West Bengal and Kalamkari painting motifs from Andhra Pradesh
— a dialogue between two age-old traditions reinterpreted with restraint and thoughtfulness.
Fronting the campaign is actor Babil Khan and super Model and Miss India universe Vartika Singh exotic charm and quiet intensity echo the ethos of the brand. Babil’s presence adds soul and depth to the menswear line, bringing tradition into conversation with the contemporary. Vartika brought in a lot of ease and exotic modern Indian beauty that the brand resonates with.
Set against the endless horizon of the Arabian Sea, this shoot becomes more than a visual story — it's a sail into India's artisanal legacy, into a future where fashion breathes easy, moves freely, and stays rooted in craft.
